Jabsco 17-In Deluxe Flush 24V Fresh Water Toilet

The Jabsco Deluxe Flush 17-Inch 24V Fresh Water Toilet (part 58040-3024) is the 24-volt version of the full-height, straight-back Deluxe Flush. Larger yachts often run 24V house systems, and this model lets them have a household-style head without a voltage converter. The bowl is vitreous china, the same material used in home bathrooms, so it cleans up easily.

Rinse water comes from the boat's freshwater tank through a solenoid valve, which keeps the bowl free of the odor that raw water can bring. A siphon breaker in the kit protects the potable water system from backflow. Water use is low, with a quick flush in dry-bowl mode using under a liter.

Jabsco lists a 15 amp fuse for the 24V model, compared with 25 amps for the 12V version, because current draw is lower at the higher voltage. Plumb it with 3/4-inch freshwater supply and 1-1/2-inch discharge hose, and add a vented loop where the install calls for one. A water lock in the bowl helps keep holding tank odors from rising into the head. The 12V version and more heads are in our marine toilets and sanitation systems.
