Jabsco 12V Water Puppy Bronze Bilge Pump

The Jabsco 12V Water Puppy is a bronze-bodied flexible impeller bilge pump rated 6.3 US gallons per minute, or 23.8 liters.

A flexible impeller lets small bilge debris pass without jamming, where a rigid impeller pump stalls or damages itself on the same material. Bilge water is never clean. Bits of grit, hose scraps and whatever has worked loose from the bilge all reach the pump eventually, and the impeller design decides whether that matters.

It self-primes from dry up to 4 feet, so it can sit above the water it is drawing rather than down in the bilge itself. That puts the pump somewhere serviceable, and keeps the motor out of the water it is supposed to be removing.
