Hornady Security Rechargeable Canister Dehumidifier

Hornady Security Rechargeable Canister Dehumidifier is a reusable desiccant unit for controlling moisture inside firearm safes, cabinets, and other enclosed storage spaces. The 750-gram desiccant charge absorbs moisture without batteries or an electrical cord inside the storage area. Indicator crystals change color as the canister becomes saturated so the user can tell when regeneration is needed.

When the indicator turns pink, Hornady directs the user to recharge the canister in a 300-degree-Fahrenheit oven until the drying granules return to blue, a process that can take up to four hours. The canister can be recharged repeatedly rather than discarded after one use. Its approximately 4 x 5.3 x 4.8-inch size gives it a compact footprint on a safe shelf.

This accessory is intended to help reduce the humidity that contributes to rust and corrosion on firearms and other stored valuables. It works best as part of a storage routine that also keeps wet gear and condensation out of the enclosure. Browse more firearm cases and range bags for additional firearm-storage equipment.
