The Hoffner Snap has a 3.5-inch satin VG-10 stainless blade with a partially serrated edge, a black G10 handle, a thumb stud, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4.88 inches.

Hoffner is best known for its rescue hook designs, and the Snap is the folding knife in that line: a plain working folder rather than a rescue tool, made on the same idea that a blade should be simple enough to use without thinking. VG-10 is a Japanese stainless prized for balancing edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance, a step above the 8Cr steels common at this size.
