The First Watch AV-800 is a four-pocket USCG Type III flotation vest in hi-vis yellow, sized S/M.
S/M is the smallest size, and a vest fitting properly matters more at the small end than the large. One that is too big rides up over the head in the water and gives almost no useful flotation. Hi-vis yellow is the most visible color in daylight, chosen so the wearer is seen by other vessels and by anyone working machinery on a dock. SOLAS reflective tape front and back handles the dark, returning searchlight beams where plain fabric of any color disappears.
A removable fleece-lined collar adds warmth when wanted and comes off when it is not, with a ventilation port at its base to release heat.
