Fireboy-Xintex CO Alarm 12/24V DC w/Interconnect Black

The Fireboy-Xintex CMD6-M Series CO Alarm in black is a 12/24V DC unit with a permanent lithium-metal backup battery and interconnect for up to 10 units.

Running on boat power with a permanent internal backup is the difference from the battery-only version. There are no batteries to replace over the alarm's life, and the backup covers the periods the boat is switched off. The trade is that a circuit has to reach the mounting position.

Black is the finish choice against the white version, which usually comes down to matching the headlining or bulkhead it mounts on. Up to 10 units interconnect so every alarm sounds together if any one trips, which matters on a boat with separated sleeping cabins.

The microprocessor sensor uses a Time Weighted Average process, tracking CO concentration with temperature and time to calculate carboxyhemoglobin rather than alarming on a raw number.
