EGIS 24V 150A Resistor-Protected Relay

The EGIS 24V 150A Resistor-Protected Relay is an automotive-grade high-current relay and industry-standard drop-in replacement for Tyco/Amp applications. It is designed to switch heavy electrical loads in wet, high-temperature locations, while the integrated resistor suppresses flyback voltage so the control signal is less likely to disturb sensitive electronics. The relay can handle a 300A intermittent load for up to 3 seconds, making it well suited to equipment with a short high-current startup demand.

Sealed automotive connectors protect the control circuit from moisture and dust, and the relay is rated for temperatures from -40 to 125°C (-40 to 257°F), including engine-bay and low-ventilation installations. The housing is IP67 rated, reinforced mounting tabs resist vibration, heat, and cable tension, and dual mounting holes accept 1/4-20 or M6 x 1.25 hardware as well as screws up to #14. Shielded dual M6 x 1.0 power terminals reduce the chance of accidental contact shorts, while a sealed Delphi Metripak connector protects the control wiring.

Electrical specifications include a maximum continuous current of 180A at 23°C, a 300A three-second intermittent rating, 17.6 to 32VDC operating range, 163 mA on-state current draw at 24VDC, and a listed electrical endurance of 1,000,000 cycles. Enhanced vibration and shock protection is intended to support long service life in demanding vehicle and marine electrical systems.
