Description

The Dolphin ACS 12V 80A Auto Charger Selector is a MOSFET-based voltage-sensing relay with no moving contacts, IP67 and ISO 8846 certified.

Having no moving relay contacts is the structural difference from a conventional automatic charging relay, and it changes what can fail. A mechanical relay has contacts that pit and weld over thousands of cycles. A MOSFET design has nothing to wear, which matters on a fitting that operates every time the engine starts.

The one-way blocking function prevents house-battery voltage collapsing when the engine or bow thruster starts. Those are the two biggest momentary loads on most boats, and the resulting dip is what disturbs sensitive electronics. Blocking keeps the house side out of it entirely.

It connects and separates the banks automatically rather than requiring manual battery selection. IP67 waterproofing and ISO 8846 ignition protection suit a gasoline boat's engine space, with low operating current, a multi-color status LED and a remote-operation switch connection. Explore more battery charging accessories.

  • No moving contacts to pit or weld
  • A mechanical relay wears with every engine start
  • One-way blocking stops thruster starts dipping the house bank
  • IP67 and ISO 8846 for a gasoline engine space
