Description

The Digital Yacht SeaTalk1 to NMEA Interface Converter is a compact but capable bridge, providing bi-directional data conversion between a legacy SeaTalk network and standard NMEA 0183 devices.

It draws power straight from the SeaTalk network itself, no separate power supply needed, and sets a full multi-transistor SeaTalk 1 interface with an opto-isolated NMEA 0183 input and a differential NMEA 0183 output, giving key navigation data a reliable path between the two systems in both directions. Developers and advanced users can switch it into a special raw data mode ($STALK) that exposes the underlying SeaTalk data directly, a format gaining real traction in some open-source marine electronics projects.

Pairs well with Digital Yacht's wireless NMEA servers for a fully wireless SeaTalk setup. USB version also available.
