The DeWalt HK 40 has a 4.5-inch black finish D2 tool steel drop point blade over a full extended tang at 10 inches overall, a black and yellow rubberized nylon handle and a lanyard hole.

D2 on a jobsite knife is a considerable step up from what the category usually runs. It holds a working edge far longer than budget stainless, which matters on a blade cutting sheathing, strapping and packaging all day. The trade is that D2 is only semi-stainless and needs to be dried after it gets wet.
