Description
The Condor Bush Slicer Sidekick has a 4.25-inch 1095HC blade in Condor classic finish at 9 inches overall, a black canvas micarta handle over a full tang and a black leather belt sheath.
The blade is flat ground with a second bevel behind the edge, which is the practical compromise for bushcraft. A flat grind slices well through wood and food, and the second bevel puts enough steel behind the edge to survive batoning. 1095HC takes a very keen edge and strops back quickly, developing a patina that slows further rust once established.
The Condor classic finish leaves an uneven gray oxide on the blade rather than polishing it away, which is how forged blades were traditionally protected. Canvas micarta grips harder as hands get damp and will not go brittle in cold the way molded plastic can. Explore more Survival and Bushcraft.
