Description
The Condor Swamp Romper has a 4.75-inch 1075 carbon steel blade with a full tang at 9.75 inches overall, a black walnut handle, a lanyard hole and a brown leather belt sheath.
The name points at wet ground, and the build follows: 1075 carbon steel with a full tang and a walnut handle, meaning a knife that will take abuse but needs to be dried after a day in a swamp. Carbon steel is the deliberate choice here despite that. It takes a keener edge than stainless and comes back with a file rather than needing a stone.
Walnut dampens vibration better than any synthetic and darkens with handling, though it needs occasional oiling. At 4.75 inches the blade covers camp work, food prep and light chopping without needing a second tool. Explore more Survival and Bushcraft.
