The Cold Steel Master Tanto has a 6-inch satin VG-1 San Mai III stainless tanto blade at 11.5 inches overall, a black Kray-Ex handle, a stainless guard, a lanyard hole and a black Secure-Ex belt sheath.

San Mai III is Cold Steel's laminated construction: a hard VG-1 core forged between two softer stainless outer layers. The core takes and holds the edge while the outers absorb shock and stop it cracking, which is how Japanese blades have been built for centuries. On a 6-inch tanto that matters, since a hard blade at this length would be brittle where the outers let it flex.
