Description

The Blue Sea Systems PowerBar 1000 is an eight-stud bus bar rated 1,000A continuous, with 3/8-inch terminal studs.

Three-eighths is the larger stud size, sized for the heaviest cable lugs on a boat rather than the mid-range ones. An installation running main battery and inverter cable at 4/0 or larger will have lugs to match, and those need the bigger stud to seat properly.

Eight studs keeps the footprint compact against the twelve-stud versions while holding the same 1,000A rating. That suits a system with fewer but heavier connections, which is the usual shape once an inverter and a large bank are involved.

A stepped design places conductors at two elevations, increasing wiring density and letting large cables route more cleanly than a flat bar allows. Matching bus and fuse-block heights let compatible fuse holders mount directly without jumper cables. The bar can be cut shorter, ganged with end caps, and covered by a snap-on insulator with label recesses. Explore more bus bars and power distribution.

  • 3/8-inch studs for the heaviest cable lugs
  • 4/0 and larger cable needs the bigger stud
  • Eight studs keeps the footprint compact
  • Fewer but heavier connections, still 1,000A
