Description
The Blue Sea Systems 8386 is a 30A AC rotary switch panel using a four-pole 6337 selector, transferring between two 120V sources and one 240V source.
Four poles is what allows this to handle two 120V shore sources and one 240V source while feeding two separate 120V load groups. That combination is beyond what a two or three-pole selector can do, and it suits a boat wired for more than one shore configuration.
Red reverse-polarity LEDs warn when an incoming source is wrongly wired, and green power-available indicators show which sources are energized before a transfer is made. Seeing both before switching is what prevents transferring onto a dead or miswired supply.
An Off position sits between source selections, giving a positive break rather than a live-to-live transfer. The face is heavy aluminum alloy with a two-part polyurethane finish. This handles source selection rather than protection, so correctly sized main breakers must remain part of the system design. Explore more marine switch panels.
- Four poles: two 120V sources plus one 240V
