Blue Sea 8074 AC Main +8 Position Toggle Breaker Panel

The Blue Sea Systems 8074 is a 120V AC panel with a main plus 8 positions in white toggle format, rated 50 amperes maximum.

It ships with a 30A double-pole main and five 15A single-pole branch breakers, leaving three positions open for later. That is a sensible split for a boat with a charger, water heater and outlet circuits already, with room for air conditioning or a second outlet run without buying a new panel.

A 9353 voltmeter reading 0 to 150V AC and a 9630 ammeter reading 0 to 50A sit on the face, showing shore voltage and boat draw without a separate instrument. Checking incoming voltage before switching anything on is worth the habit at an unfamiliar dock, where a low or unstable supply can damage equipment.

A red LED indicates reverse polarity, which is the warning to see before energizing circuits rather than after. Hot, neutral and safety ground buses are installed and the panel arrives fully pre-wired, with label backlighting pre-installed and all LEDs fitted at the factory.
