Blue Sea 7713 ML-RBS Remote Battery Switch 12V

The Blue Sea Systems 7713 ML-RBS is a 12V remote battery switch rated 500A continuous and 2,500A cranking, with a manual override knob.

This is the 12V version of the 7717, identical in rating and construction, and mixing the two up is the easiest mistake to make. The 500A and 2,500A figures are the same on both, so the amperage gives no clue. System voltage is what separates them.

The manual knob works even when control power is unavailable and locks in the Off position during service, which is what makes the switch safe to work behind. Without that lock, a switch mounted at the battery can be closed from the helm while someone is on the terminals.

Silver-alloy contacts handle live-load switching over repeated cycles, and tin-plated copper studs give a corrosion-resistant high-current connection. Control current stays very low in the steady On or Off state and rises only briefly while changing position. A dedicated output drives an optional remote LED for state indication.
