Blue Sea 7701 ML-Series Solenoid with Contura Switch

The Blue Sea Systems 7701 ML-Series Solenoid is a 12V magnetic-latching remote battery switch rated 500A continuous, with a Contura control switch.

This model has no manual control at the solenoid itself, which is the difference from the ML-RBS switches and matters before ordering. All operation goes through the remote control circuit. If that circuit fails, there is no knob at the battery to fall back on, so an ML-RBS is the better choice where local override is needed.

The magnetic-latching design draws current only while changing state and consumes nothing while sitting fully On or Off. That zero holding draw is what fits a boat left unattended, where a conventional solenoid holding closed would gradually pull the bank down.
