Description

The Blue Sea Systems 7506 DeckHand Digital Dimmer controls 12V incandescent and compatible non-regulated LED lighting at 6A, with a momentary switch included.

Twelve volts is the specification that separates this from the 7504, which is otherwise the same dimmer on 24V. Checking system voltage before ordering is the whole difference, and the two are easy to confuse since the part numbers sit next to each other.

Adjustment runs continuously from fully dimmed to full input voltage rather than stepping through a few fixed levels. It also remembers the last selected level, so lighting returns where it was left rather than coming back at full brightness in a dark cabin.

An illuminated-exit function stays active for an adjustable delay after the primary lighting is switched off, covering the walk out of a cabin or cockpit. Offset mounting tabs let several dimmers sit close together where multiple lighting zones need separate control. Explore more marine electrical switches.

  • 12V, where the 7504 is the 24V version
  • Part numbers sit next to each other: check voltage
  • Continuous adjustment, not fixed steps
  • Remembers the last level rather than returning to full
