The BEP Marine 717 motorized battery distribution cluster serves twin-outboard boats with three battery banks, combining a voltage-sensitive relay and emergency parallel in one remote-operated switch.

This is the motorized version of the 717 concept. Where the standard cluster uses a separate voltage-sensitive relay, this combines that function and the emergency parallel into one remotely operated switch. That means the whole cluster is controlled from the helm rather than needing access to the battery compartment, which on a twin-outboard boat is usually under a hatch and behind gear.

The voltage-sensitive function combines banks automatically whenever charging voltage is present, so engine charging reaches the house bank without the operator switching anything. The emergency parallel brings both banks together when extra starting current is needed, which is the situation that otherwise means opening the hatch in a hurry.

The cluster is laid out so primary cables attach from the bottom, which keeps a crowded battery installation cleaner and easier to route.
