The Balmar 100A Saddle Mount Alternator Kit includes a 60-100-K6 alternator, external regulator, temperature sensors and hardware.

A hundred amps is the moderate step in the Balmar range, between a standard alternator and the 120 and 170 amp units. It suits a boat adding refrigeration or a modest inverter rather than one running heavy house loads continuously, and the belt and cable consequences are proportionally smaller.

The kit includes everything the alternator needs to work: external regulation, temperature sensing and mounting hardware. A high-output alternator bought alone will not charge correctly, and assembling the parts separately is where an upgrade usually stalls part-finished.
