The ARCO Zeus A225S J-180 3.15-Inch Alternator has a terminal block and a saddle-style mount, in a small-frame 12V configuration.
A saddle-style J-180 mount at 3.15 inches is the fitment, and both parts of that have to match the engine. J-180 is a standard but comes in several sizes, so the standard alone does not confirm a fit and the saddle dimension has to be checked.
Small frame gives high output where clearance is limited, which is often the deciding factor rather than the rating. The larger A275L produces more but needs more room, and an alternator that will not fit is no use however capable it is.
A terminal block handles the output connection rather than studs, so the cable termination has to suit it. Heat-shedding E-Coat or Cerakote finishes, an externally positioned rectifier and dual cooling fans control heat during sustained charging of large banks. Explore more marine alternators.
