Description

The Ancor Red/Black 16/2 AWG Flat Duplex Cable is a 500-foot spool of tinned copper with Type 3 ultra-flexible stranding.

This is the traditional red and black version of the lightest duplex, against the ABYC red and yellow in the same gauge. On small circuits the convention matters less than on heavy cable, but consistency across a boat still helps whoever traces a fault later.

Sixteen gauge duplex covers lighting, electronics, small pumps and low-draw accessories, where both conductors run to the same fitting. Duplex is the right choice at this size because small circuits usually go out and back to one device rather than collecting at a bus.

The flat profile routes neatly along bulkheads and behind panels where round cable sits proud. Ultra-flexible Type 3 tinned copper stranding resists corrosion and electrolysis while tolerating vibration, with premium vinyl insulation rated 600V, 105°C dry and 75°C wet. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.

  • Red and black, against ABYC red and yellow
  • Consistency still helps whoever traces a fault
  • Small circuits run out and back to one device
  • 16 gauge for lighting, electronics and small pumps
