Description

The Ancor 6 AWG Heavy-Duty Lugs are a 100-pack in annealed tinned copper with a seamless barrel, for 5/16-inch studs.

Five sixteenths is the more common stud at 6 AWG, appearing on most battery switches and smaller bus bars. The 3/8 version covers the exceptions. A boat with both will need some of each, which is an argument for the assortment kit on a first installation.

A 100-pack is volume buying for a shop or a builder rather than a single boat's requirement. One installation typically uses a dozen at this gauge, so the pack makes sense where 6 AWG terminations are routine work.

Heavy-duty annealed tinned copper supports strong current flow while resisting corrosion from salt and moisture. The seamless barrel adds strength after crimping, and the closed-end construction keeps moisture out of the joint from the terminal side. Explore more battery lugs and ring terminals.

  • 5/16 is the more common stud at 6 AWG
  • The 3/8 version covers the exceptions
  • A boat with both needs some of each
  • 100 suits a shop, not one installation
