Description

The Ancor 2/0 AWG Heavy-Duty Lugs are a 100-pack in annealed tinned copper with a seamless barrel, for 5/16-inch studs.

Five sixteenths is the smaller of the two stud sizes stocked in this lug, and it is the more common on switches and smaller bus bars. Checking the actual stud before ordering takes a moment and prevents a delivery of a hundred lugs that will not fit anything on the boat.

Heavy-duty annealed tinned copper supports maximum current flow while resisting corrosion from salt and moisture. Tinning matters as much on the lug as on the cable, since the crimp joint is where dissimilar metals and trapped moisture would otherwise start corroding.

The seamless barrel holds its strength when properly crimped, and the closed end prevents moisture entering from the terminal side. A hundred-pack suits production wiring, large refits and service shops rather than a single installation. Explore more battery lugs and ring terminals.

  • 5/16-inch stud, the more common size
  • Check the actual stud before ordering a hundred
  • Tinning matters on the lug as much as the cable
  • The crimp joint is where corrosion starts
