Description

The Ancor 2/0 AWG Heavy-Duty Lugs are a 100-pack in annealed tinned copper with a seamless barrel, for 3/8-inch studs.

Stud size is the specification to get right, and 3/8 versus 5/16 is the choice. Battery switches, bus bars and inverters use both. A lug hole too small will not fit the stud, and one too large leaves the connection resting on a washer rather than seated properly, which loosens under vibration.

The seamless barrel is what gives the lug its strength after crimping, since a rolled or seamed barrel can split open under the compression a proper crimp applies. Annealed tinned copper handles the current while resisting the corrosion salt and moisture cause.

The closed-end design keeps moisture out of the barrel from the terminal side. A hundred-pack suits production work, refits and service departments, where buying individually costs more per lug and runs out mid-job. Explore more battery lugs and ring terminals.

  • 3/8-inch stud, against the 5/16 version
  • Too large a hole leaves the lug resting on a washer
  • Seamless barrels do not split when crimped
  • Closed end keeps moisture out of the barrel
