Description

The Ancor 12-10 AWG Female Heat Shrink Disconnects are a 100-pack with an adhesive-lined sleeve and tinned surfaces.

A disconnect gives a removable joint, which is the point: equipment can be pulled for service without cutting and resplicing the wiring. Pumps, lights and instruments all get replaced eventually, and a boat wired entirely with permanent splices makes every replacement a rewiring job.

The integrated heat-shrink sleeve holds a heat-activated adhesive that flows when heated, sealing around the wire insulation and adding strain relief. That sealing is what makes a disconnect usable in a marine environment at all, since an unsealed spade terminal corrodes at the crimp within a season or two.

Tinned metal surfaces improve corrosion resistance at the contact itself, not just the crimp. Twelve to 10 AWG covers pumps, lighting circuits and heavier accessories, and a 100-pack suits service work where disconnects are used constantly. Explore more wire connectors and terminals.

  • A removable joint for equipment that gets replaced
  • Permanent splices make every swap a rewiring job
  • Adhesive sleeve seals the crimp and adds strain relief
  • Unsealed spades corrode within a season or two
