Description

The Airmar DT800 Smart Sensor is a low-profile, retractable thru-hull transducer that combines depth and temperature in one compact housing, built around a tilted ceramic element that gives all the advantages of a fairing block without an actual hull protrusion.

The 235kHz frequency avoids mutual interference with other echo sounders on board, and embedded microelectronics keep the transducer element and signal processor only millimeters apart, so the depth signal is processed right inside the sensor before it ever reaches the display.

Built with a fixed 20-degree tilt for 16 to 24-degree hull deadrise, it reads depth from 1.6 to 594 feet through a plastic housing on a 20-foot NMEA 2000 cable. A retractable design with a self-closing valve keeps water out when the transducer is pulled for servicing. Browse more marine transducers.
