Description
The Airmar P79 In-Hull Transducer skips drilling a hole in the boat entirely, using a base bonded to the hull and filled with liquid so sound waves travel efficiently through to the separate transducer, which attaches to the base with a simple twist lock.
It adjusts to hull deadrise angles up to 22 degrees, keeping the beam vertically oriented for accurate echo returns rather than a skewed reading from an angled hull, which makes it a strong fit for rigid inflatable boats and racing sailboats where a hull penetration isn't practical.
Recommended for solid fiberglass hulls, and it can also be epoxied to aluminum hulls under 0.15 inches thick. It reads depth only at 235kHz with an 11-degree cone, and a 6M (20-foot) NMEA 2000 cable and connector are included. Shop more marine transducers.
This product may not be returned to the original point of purchase. Please contact the manufacturer directly with any issues or concerns.
- No holes to drill, bonds inside the hull
