Description

The ACR ResQFlare PRO is a buoyant Electronic Visual Distress Signal Device (eVDSD) that meets RTCM Standard 13200.0 and serves as a U.S. Coast Guard-approved alternative to traditional pyrotechnic flares on recreational vessels up to 65 feet in length. It uses high-intensity multi-color red-orange and cyan LEDs to produce a bright SOS flash pattern visible over 8 miles, with a luminous angle of 360° and an infrared (IR) strobe component for visibility through Night Vision Goggles used by Search and Rescue. No expiration date and no burning flame make it a safer, family-friendly alternative to traditional flares.

The ResQFlare PRO automatically rights itself and floats when in the water, and its durable waterproof (IP67) construction is tested for dry heat, damp heat, low temperature, thermal shock, drop, vibration, solar radiation, rain, spray, corrosion, and EMC. Each unit includes a Distress Flag (certified as a Daytime Visual Distress Signal under USCG 160.072), a mounting bracket with hardware, and a 1-meter lanyard concealed beneath the black Velcro strap. The lanyard can be used to tether the device to a person or life raft in an emergency. It is a reliable addition to any survival gear and emergency equipment kit.
