The Xantrex Freedom X 1200 is a hardwired 1200W pure sine wave inverter with a 30A transfer switch and 2400W surge capability.

The configurable settings are more extensive than most inverters allow, covering low-battery shutdown voltage, shutdown delay, AC transfer speed, output frequency and output voltage. Shutdown delay is the one worth setting deliberately. A brief voltage sag from a large load will trip an inverter with no delay, and a short delay rides through it without risking the bank.

AC transfer speed is adjustable too, which matters because some equipment tolerates a slower changeover and some does not. Utility-grade sine wave output suits televisions, microwaves and sensitive electronics.

The built-in 30A transfer switch passes shore or generator power through automatically, and reverts to inverter operation when incoming power fails.
