Xantrex C-Series 35-Amp Solar Charge Controller

The Xantrex C-Series C35 is a 35A solid-state controller for PV charging, DC load control or diversion control, on 12V or 24V.

Thirty-five amps is the smallest C-Series controller, below the C40 and C60. The C40 also adds 48V capability, so stepping up gives both more current and a wider voltage range rather than current alone.

All three modes are available from one unit, though only one at a time. Charging, load control and diversion each replace a separate device, and being able to repurpose the controller later is worth something on a system that changes.

PWM multi-stage charging maintains battery health with optional temperature compensation when the sensor is fitted. PWM harvests less from an array than MPPT does, so on a larger installation the difference in yield will outweigh the price difference. Explore more solar charge controllers.
