Description

The Wichard Proline Elastic Tether has three hooks on double webbing of 2 meters plus 1 meter, with a 26mm gate opening.

Three hooks with two webbing lengths lets one tether cover both moving and working. The one-meter leg keeps you close while working on the foredeck; the two-meter leg gives reach when moving along the deck. Switching between them means clipping the free hook rather than changing tethers.

The 26mm gate opening is wide for a safety hook, which matters with cold or wet hands. A narrow gate needs a precise grip and a deliberate press. A wide one can be clipped onto a jackline while holding on with the other hand, which is when it is actually being done.

SmartLoop converts a single-webbing tether into a double, or a double back into two separate singles. Double-action safety hooks need two deliberate movements to open, and the anodized aluminum hooks keep the weight down at the end of a swinging line. Explore more marine rescue gear.

  • Three hooks and two lengths in one tether
  • One meter for working, two for moving
  • 26mm gate clips with one hand on a jackline
  • Double-action hooks need two movements to open
