Wichard 2-Hook Releasable Elastic Safety Tether

The Wichard Releasable Elastic Tether has two hooks in 316L stainless with polyamide webbing and a 1 to 2 meter elastic line.

Two hooks rather than three is the difference from the larger tether, and it suits a shorter clipping range where a third attachment point is not needed. One fluorescent double-action safety hook resists accidental release while clipped in, and a quick-opening snap shackle gives a fast disconnect when getting clear matters more than staying attached.

The overload indicator follows OSR World Sailing recommendations, giving a visible warning that the tether has taken a serious load so it is retired before it fails rather than after. A tether that has arrested a fall can look undamaged and be unsafe, which is what the indicator exists to catch.

The elastic line stretches from 1 to 2 meters, keeping slack off the deck while moving fore and aft rather than dragging loose webbing underfoot.
