Whitecap 16 x 9-1/8 in Teak Louvered Vent Insert

Whitecap's teak louvered insert provides a traditional ventilated look for a cabinet or interior panel. The slatted face is intended to fit a prepared opening. Its dimensions are given from the outside edges, so they should not be mistaken for the cutout size.

The insert measures 16 in high, 9-1/8 in wide, and 3/4 in deep. The specified cutout is 15 x 8-1/8 in. A 1/2 in rabbet runs around the insert to seat it against the panel.

Plan the opening using the cutout measurements, not the outer frame dimensions. The louvered appearance works with other teak trim in a cabin or locker. Check the depth and surrounding door hardware before installation. An accurate cutout is especially important if the surrounding panel has little spare material.
