Description

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/10 accepts up to 75V of PV input and delivers up to 10A of charging, with Bluetooth and VE.Direct.

Ten amps is the smallest SmartSolar output, matching an array of roughly 130 watts at 12V. That suits a single panel keeping a battery topped up rather than a system meant to run the boat. Buying a larger controller for a single panel wastes money the panels would be better spent on.

A programmable load output disconnects loads when battery voltage falls too low, which on a small system is often the only protection the bank has. BatteryLife then adjusts that threshold automatically when daily production is insufficient, so the battery reaches full charge periodically rather than sitting part-charged.

Ultra-fast tracking continuously adjusts to changing panel conditions, which matters as much on one panel as on twenty. Bluetooth handles setup, monitoring and updates through VictronConnect, with VE.Direct giving a wired connection to GX devices and computers. Explore more solar charge controllers.

  • 10A, matching around 130 watts of panel at 12V
  • For a single panel keeping a battery topped up
  • Load output is often a small system's only protection
  • 75V PV input limits the series string
