Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/15 Solar Charge Controller

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/15 accepts up to 100V of PV input and delivers up to 15A of charging, with Bluetooth and VE.Direct.

The programmable load output is what separates the smaller SmartSolar controllers from the larger ones, and it matters on a small system. Loads connect through the controller rather than directly to the battery, so it can disconnect them at a selected voltage and prevent over-discharge without any separate low-voltage cutout.

On a boat with no other battery protection, that turns the solar controller into the thing that saves the bank. The larger controllers in the range drop this feature, since a bigger system usually has proper distribution and protection elsewhere.

BatteryLife can adjust that disconnect threshold over time when daily production is insufficient, letting the battery reach full charge periodically.
