Description

The Victron Phoenix 12/800 delivers 650W continuous through a GFCI duplex receptacle, with VE.Direct and remote On/Off capability.

The 800VA and 650W figures both appear because they measure different things, and the continuous watt figure is the one to size against. An 800VA inverter will not run 800 watts of continuous load. Six hundred and fifty is the real capability at 25°C, and it falls as temperature rises.

A remote On/Off control can be connected when the inverter is installed out of easy reach, which is usually where an inverter ends up. Without that, switching it off means opening a locker or reaching behind a panel every time, and an inverter left on is an inverter drawing standby current.

The GFCI duplex receptacle protects plug-in loads directly rather than relying on a downstream outlet. Low-battery alarms, cut-off and restart thresholds, dynamic cut-off, output voltage, frequency and ECO mode are all adjustable, with short-circuit and over-temperature protection. Explore more power inverters.

  • 800VA apparent, 650W continuous at 25°C
  • Size to the watt figure, not the VA
  • Remote On/Off for an inverter mounted out of reach
  • GFCI duplex receptacle built in
