Description

The Victron Phoenix 12/1200 Inverter delivers pure sine wave 120V AC with a GFCI duplex outlet, UL458 listed, with VE.Direct.

This is the 12V version of the GFCI inverter, against the 24V model at similar output. Beyond system voltage the practical difference is DC current: a 12V unit draws roughly twice the amperage for the same AC output, so cable and fusing are sized accordingly.

The GFCI duplex outlet is built in rather than added downstream, which matters because an inverter output presents a real shock hazard around water. UL458 listing covers it for marine and mobile installation, which is what an inspector or insurer will look for.

Low-battery alarm and cut-off thresholds, restart levels, output voltage, frequency and ECO mode are all configurable. ECO mode stands the inverter down when demand falls below a set level, reducing the no-load drain. Short-circuit and thermal protection are included, with high start-up capability for surge loads. Explore more power inverters.

  • 12V input, twice the DC current of the 24V model
  • GFCI duplex outlet built in, not added downstream
  • UL458 listed for marine and mobile installation
  • ECO mode cuts the no-load drain
