The Victron Blue Smart IP65 is a 12V 5A charger with a seven-step algorithm, supplied with crocodile clips and M8 eyelets.

Five amps is the smallest 12V charger in the Blue Smart range, for maintenance rather than charging. It will keep a battery in condition through a winter or top up a small one, but returning a discharged bank of any size will take days rather than hours.

That slow rate is not a shortcoming for the job it is meant for. Long, low-current charging is gentler on a battery than a fast return. For a boat stored ashore or a motorcycle over winter, this is the right tool and a larger charger would be the wrong one.

The seven-step algorithm recharges efficiently while supporting long-term battery health, with low-current recovery for a deeply discharged battery.
