Description

The Victron Argodiode Battery Isolator (180A, 3 Batteries) allows simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator, without connecting the batteries. It is designed for boaters who want to discharge an accessory battery without also discharging the starter battery. This model includes an alternator energize input, since some alternators need DC voltage on the B+ output to start charging.

Low voltage drop is achieved through high-efficiency Schottky diodes: at low current, drop is approximately 0.3V, rising to approximately 0.45V at rated output. All models are fitted with a compensation diode to slightly increase the alternator's output voltage, offsetting the voltage drop across the isolator's diodes and helping ensure batteries reach a full charge. Browse more options in our alternators and charging hardware category.

Key Features: 180A, 3 battery outputs, Schottky diodes, compensation diode included.

Frequently Asked Questions
