Description

The Victron Argo FET 100A 2-Battery Isolator charges two banks from one alternator or charger, dropping under 0.1V.

A hundred amps with two outputs is the entry point in the Argo FET range, for a standard alternator on a smaller boat. Sizing follows the charging source rather than the batteries, so the alternator's rated output is the figure to check against.

Preserving starting reserve is the practical purpose: the two banks charge together but discharge independently. House loads run all night without touching the starting battery, which is what makes a boat start reliably in the morning.

FET technology keeps voltage loss below 0.02V at low current and around 0.1V at higher current. Traditional diode isolators lose 0.6 to 0.7V, enough that a bank behind one never quite reaches the voltage the alternator is producing. Explore more battery isolators and charging relays.

  • 100A with two outputs, the entry point in the range
  • Size against the alternator, not the batteries
  • Charge together, discharge independently
  • House loads run all night without touching the starter
