Uflex TM87 19-Foot Rack and Pinion Steering System

The 19-foot Uflex TM87 mechanical steering package is built for installations whose complete cable routing measures for the TM87OX19 configuration. A G87 front-mount helm, TM87XLL rack cable, and X34 bezel are supplied together to create the core rack-and-pinion steering assembly.

Mechanical travel is specified at 3.7 in of cable stroke with roughly 3.3 steering-wheel turns from lock to lock. The G87 helm accepts a standard 3/4 in tapered shaft, and the cable incorporates stainless-steel output ends along with corrosion-resistant materials for marine use.

Longer cable routes still need smooth, gradual bends. Measure around the actual path instead of across the boat, verify clearance at the dash and engine, keep every turn within the 7.9 in minimum bend-radius requirement, and inspect the final installation for free movement at both steering stops.
