Uflex Masterdrive 32CC Front Mount Steering Helm

The Uflex Masterdrive 32CC is a front-mount hydraulic helm pump that displaces 32 cc (1.95 cu. in.) per turn of the wheel. Higher displacement moves more fluid per turn, so the boat steers with fewer wheel turns lock to lock. It has a 3/4-inch tapered shaft and accepts wheels up to 16 inches in diameter.

It is built for single-cylinder systems with one steering station. The body is corrosion-resistant and painted, the internals are sealed against water, and a built-in relief valve protects the system from overpressure. Choosing displacement is a balance, since a larger pump means fewer turns but more effort per turn. The waterproof construction protects the internal parts from spray and rain at an open helm, which helps on center consoles and bay boats. A painted, corrosion-resistant body holds up behind open dashes.
