Description

The Spyderco Military 2 Blue G-10 (C36GPCBL2) has a 4-inch CPM SPY27 blade in a cobalt blue G-10 handle, built in Spyderco's Golden, Colorado shop. The Military is one of Spyderco's best-known large folders, and the Military 2 kept its long blade and slim handle while switching from a liner lock to a Compression Lock. Open, it measures roughly 9.5 inches, giving a lot of edge for a knife that still carries flat in a pocket.

A Compression Lock places a leaf spring in the spine, where it wedges between a stop pin and the blade tang when the knife is open. To close it, you press the spring tab exposed in the spine, so your fingers never sit in the path of the blade. The design is strong and secure, which matters on a blade of this length.

SPY27 is a powder steel made by Crucible for Spyderco, tuned for a good balance of toughness, edge holding, and corrosion resistance. The long handle fills even a large hand, and a deep choil behind the edge lets you choke up for close work. The four-position clip allows tip-up or tip-down carry on either side.
