Spyderco MicroJimbo Salt G-10 Folding Knife

The Spyderco MicroJimbo Salt G-10 (C264GMCBKP) has a 2.45-inch CPM MagnaCut blade with a black DLC coating. MagnaCut was developed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas to combine high toughness with excellent corrosion resistance, a mix that used to require a trade-off. That makes it a strong choice for boaters, anglers, and anyone who works around water. Its edge is straight, with the spine curving down to meet it at the point.

The blade has a straight edge with a spine that falls to the tip, giving precise push cuts and a controlled point. The DLC coating adds surface hardness and helps the blade resist scratches. The design comes from Michael Janich, who created the Yojimbo family of knives. MagnaCut sharpens easily on most stones, which is not always true of high-performance steels.

The Compression Lock releases from the spine, so it closes safely with one hand. The G-10 handle is light and grippy and does not absorb water. Rinse it in fresh water after use around salt, even with a highly corrosion-resistant steel, to keep the pivot clean. Spyderco's Round Hole opens the blade quickly with one thumb.
