The Spyderco MicroJimbo Blue G-10 (C264GPCBL) is the smallest of Michael Janich's Yojimbo-pattern knives, with a 2.45-inch CPM SPY27 blade. The blade has a straight edge and a spine that slopes down to meet it at the point, similar to a Wharncliffe. That geometry keeps the tip in line with the hand for very precise cuts. It opens to just under 6 inches, so it rides small in a pocket.
Janich designed the Yojimbo family with self-defense in mind, but the same shape is excellent for everyday chores like opening boxes and trimming. A straight edge pushes through material evenly and is easy to sharpen on a flat stone. SPY27 is a powder steel made by Crucible for Spyderco, and it usually comes with cobalt blue handles.
The Compression Lock releases from the spine, keeping your fingers out of the blade path as you close it. Cobalt blue G-10 gives a secure, textured grip that holds up to water and sweat.
