Description
The Spyderco Honeybee Blue G10 Slipjoint (C137GBLP) is the blue version of Spyderco's tiny Honeybee, with the same 1.68-inch drop point blade. Blue G10 is easier to spot in a pocket, a tackle box, or a cluttered drawer than black. The blade is Sandvik 12C27, a Swedish stainless known for a clean, fine edge.
G10 is a layered fiberglass laminate, so the handle shrugs off water, sunscreen, and fish slime. There is no lock, just a backspring that holds the blade open, which keeps the mechanism simple and very light. Open length is 3.72 inches, so it is a true keychain knife.
Clip it to keys with the lanyard hole or toss it in a jacket pocket. It makes a good gift or a first knife because there is little that can go wrong with a slipjoint. Keep cuts light and away from your fingers, since a slipjoint can close if you push on the spine. The black and red Honeybee and other small knives are in our traditional knives.
