Description

The Spyderco Grasshopper Blue G10 Slipjoint (C138GBLP) has a 2.3-inch drop point blade and opens to 5.13 inches. It is a larger slipjoint than the Honeybee, giving enough blade for everyday chores while staying light. The blade is Sandvik 12C27 stainless with a satin finish.

Blue G10 gives a secure, textured grip that holds up to water and hard use. Like other slipjoints, it has no lock, so a backspring keeps the blade open during normal cutting. The longer handle fills more of the hand than the keychain models, which helps control.

It has no clip, so it rides in a pocket or pouch in the traditional way. It is a good fit for people who want a modern-material pocket knife in an old-style design. Touch up the edge on a ceramic rod or fine stone, since 12C27 sharpens quickly. The red and stainless Grasshopper and more slipjoints are in our traditional knives.
