Description

The Spyderco Grasshopper Stainless Slipjoint (C138P) swaps the G10 handle for polished stainless steel and uses a 2.3-inch clip point blade. Its blade steel is 8Cr13MoV, a budget-friendly stainless that is easy to sharpen. Open length is 5.13 inches.

The clip point gives a finer tip than the drop point on the G10 Grasshoppers, which helps with detail work. A stainless handle is slim and very durable, though it is more slippery than G10 when wet. The slipjoint design means no lock, just spring tension.

It slides easily into a dress pocket and looks at home with office clothes. Wipe the handle and blade after use to keep fingerprints and moisture off. Use light pressure and avoid twisting cuts, which are hard on any slipjoint. G10 versions and other slipjoints are in our traditional knives.

  • 2.3-inch 8Cr13MoV clip point
  • Stainless steel handle
  • Non-locking slipjoint
  • Slim pocket profile
